Ex Monarch
Ex Monarch formed in the fall of 2022 when I showed an early draft of the song "Amelia" to one of the band's songwriters, Eli. We recorded it as a band in the Weeks Recording studio at Frost and decided to continue to write and perform together as a band. Ex Monarch is our platform to experiment and be loud: Eli Yaroch (songwriter/guitarist), Jake Sonderman(producer/songwriter), George Staton (drummer & coordinator extraordinaire), Saidy Burch (bassist & creative spark), and myself (frontwoman & lead songwriter).
I’m really grateful for the friendships and connections I've gained through the Florida rock community—musicians and non-musicians alike. This project has had a large impact me, and has strengthened my confidence as both an artist and a human.
Recording Projects
In my time at University of Miami, I had the pleasure of working with many talented individuals on a large variety of projects -- contemporary, jazz, classical, as well as some non-musical recording projects.
The first major project I had the pleasure of solo producing and recording on was Zoe Arora's 2023 debut EP "Cloud Cover" .
At frost I had the pleasure of working as a live recording engineer from January 2021 through May of 2024 at Gusman and Clarke Recital Halls at the Frost School of Music, which can be listened to in full on the frost youtube channel.
Another set of projects I’m proud of comes from my time with the University of Miami’s Orange Umbrella, a student-run communications consultancy, where they commissioned me on several audio and audiovisual productions.
